Overview

Communication Triage ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension developed by Sara Nazari. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

Data We Collect

The Extension collects and stores the following data, which you voluntarily provide:

  • Google Account Email: Used for authentication and to associate your data with your account.
  • Task Data: Messages and reminders you create within the Extension, including task text, sender names, message links, notes, priority levels, and platform tags.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Extension's functionality:

  • Displaying your pending messages in the Chrome sidebar
  • Syncing your data across devices
  • Sending you badge notifications about pending items

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (a hosted PostgreSQL database) with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled. This means only you can access your own data. Your data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth: Used for secure authentication. We only receive your email address and display name.
  • Supabase: Used for secure cloud data storage and real-time synchronization.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your task data is private to your account.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual tasks at any time through the Extension. To delete all your data, sign out and contact us at saranazari80@gmail.com to request complete data removal.

Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

  • storage: To save your preferences locally (theme, sound settings)
  • sidePanel: To display the triage sidebar
  • alarms: To periodically sync your data
  • identity: To enable Google Sign-In
